7 Ways To Boost Your Confidence RIGHT NOW

confidence

It’s no secret we all want to feel amazing and confident when we step outside. For such simple feeling, confidence goes a long way to determining your mood, your happiness and the outcome of your day.

So why do so many of us struggle with confidence?

It’s likely it comes down to how we look.

It can be hard to focus on the other parts of ourselves (that make up such a huge part) when the first thing we, and we think others notice, is our appearance. So, we’re here to make today the day to turn it all around!

We want you to forget about the numbers on the scales, and forget about the CM on your waist. Because we want your confidence to come from within – to come from your personality, your humour, your charm, your intelligence and your kindness. Focus on the internal values that truly matter and start living like yourself again! You deserve it!

Here are our 7 simple ways you can get your confidence back on track.

hi

Switch off from social

This is a BIG one. The images you scroll through each day on social media are (majorly) impacting or damaging the way you see yourself, and the things you value. You deserved to think positively about yourself – it’s not arrogance, it’s CONFIDENCE, and every single one of us has the right to be confident! Go through your socials and unfollow all profiles that don’t influence you in a positive way. And remember, nobody posts about their failures.

Move your body for FUN

Exercise should be enjoyable! Too often, exercise is seen as a punishment for eating, or we pile on the pressure because we feel guilty that we’re not in better shape. Remember, you should be exercising because you love your body, not because you hate it! Exercise because you WANT to. Start by picking activities you truly enjoy, that make you feel good and get your endorphins going! There’s an exercise out there for everyone!!

Eat well and feel well

Feeling healthy on the inside is a huge ticket to feeling confident on the outside. Nourish your body every day and listen to what your body actually needs – colourful, nutritious delicious foods of the rainbow! Planning and shopping for your meals in advance will make you feel more organised and confident in your food choices.

Positive affirmations

Don’t mock it, instead, try it! Positive affirmations are practised by people the world over and we promise, it’ll only feel silly for a split second before the good feelings kick in. Start by stating 5 positive affirmations about yourself at the start of the day. Look in the mirror and make the intention count. A quick Google search brings up thousands of options, or you could write your own affirmations, the ones that mean the most to you!

Find your circle of support

You can block people in real life, too. People who don’t want the best for you, aren’t true friends. So hit pause on anyone who isn’t making you feel your absolute best, and schedule in more time with those who do.

Closet cleanout

I think we’ve all been guilty of hanging onto clothes that don’t fit. Clothes that we tell ourselves we’ll ‘wear again one day.’ Unless it’s a special or sentimental piece, get rid of it! It’s likely bringing nothing but guilt and regret to your day, and confidence is about loving the skin you’re in and the person you are!

Shopping Spree

Whatever your budget, there’s nothing like stepping into an outfit that feels like it was meant for you, that makes you feel great! For many, new clothes bring joy and newfound confidence, so hit the shops with friends or family and find those gems of clothing that make you feel your absolute best!

And if after doing all of that you are still focusing on your body, rather than internal, confidence – remember this. Our bodies are small miracles. They are capable of so much strength, wonder and happiness. Think of everything your body does for you every day just to survive!

Don’t focus your energies on the things that hurt or aren’t what you’d like them to be and start focusing on everything that’s going right. List the parts of your body that are working, celebrate the movements you can make and give thanks for all the amazing functions of your body that let you live life!

Now THAT’S body confidence!!
